I’m the founder of Imgkits, and I’m excited to share the journey behind Imgkits (https://www.imgkits.com/), an AI-powered creative platform I built to make image and video generation, editing, and enhancement simple, fast, and accessible.
The idea didn’t arrive as a flash of inspiration. It accumulated over countless late nights trying to ship visuals quickly—mockups for landing pages, ads for experiments, thumbnails for posts—only to get stuck switching between clunky tools, wrestling with formats, and compromising on quality. I wanted a straightforward way for anyone—creators, indie founders, and solo operators—to turn ideas into polished visuals without the grind.
The Problem I Kept Bumping Into
Whether it was creating marketing visuals, restoring old photos, producing social content, or iterating on product imagery, I kept hitting the same roadblocks:
Tool overload: Generating images, editing videos, removing backgrounds, upscaling, and adding effects often required multiple tools that didn’t play nicely together.
Steep learning curve: Pro tools are powerful but intimidating. “One-click” apps are fast but often sacrifice quality and control.
Inconsistent quality: It’s hard to get reliable, brand-aligned results—especially when switching between tools or working at scale.
Bottlenecks for workflows: Batch work, consistent outputs, and collaboration needs aren’t well supported out of the box.

The Development Challenges
Building Imgkits came with plenty of hard-earned lessons:
Integrating Diverse AI Models: Different models excel at different tasks (generation, restoration, upscaling, background removal). Orchestrating them into a smooth workflow required careful model selection, prompt engineering, and latency optimization.
Balancing Simplicity and Control: I wanted “one-click” ease for non-experts and granular controls for power users. Finding the right UX balance took many iterations.
Consistency at Scale: Ensuring reliable, high-fidelity outputs for varied styles and batch operations meant optimizing preprocessing, postprocessing, and server-side pipelines.
Video + Image Cohesion: Extending beyond images into video creation/editing added complexity in performance, format handling, and effect consistency.
What’s Next & What I’m Learning
I’m shipping fast, listening closely, and building with users:
