...l work with data that you lose all desire to create anything.
I asked it to size the market, it gave me confident numbers with zero sources. I built a spreadsheet. Looked great on paper.
Wasn't until later I realized none of it was real.
That was the moment we decided to build NicheIQ. Not because it seemed like a good market opportunity. Honestly because I was embarrassed. I almost built the wrong thing based on numbers a language model invented and I nearly didn't catch it.
We're three Ukrainians building this from London. A CFO who kept skipping the research on her own projects, an engineer who got tired of watching good ideas die from bad data, and a business guy who's been on the wrong side of a pivot one too many times.
So here's what we made.
You type in a niche. NicheIQ scans Reddit, Twitter and forums for real conversations. Pulls out pain points people are already complaining about and scores them by how bad the problem is and whether anyone would actually pay to fix it. Then maps out over a hundred keywords with live search volumes, sizes the market from real demand data and gives you a GO or NO GO with a confidence score behind it.
Every pain point links to the original thread. Click through and check it yourself. That part was non negotiable for us because we built this specifically because we were sick of data you just had to trust.
45 minutes start to finish. 155 people through it in the first few weeks. First paying cohort landed somewhere between $12 and $19 per report. Moving to subscription next month.
One thing I'm genuinely curious about. Would you use something like this before starting a project or only when you're already deep in and second guessing yourself? Because our users are split and I still don't know what that means for how we should be building.
First Discovery is free. Type in your niche, 15 minutes, real pain points with sources.
