I built an AI & 3D ecosystem that actually cures app fragmentation across social, AI generation, translation, and the metaverse.

For the past two years, I’ve been quietly building in my attic something called NEX
The long-term vision is a high-fidelity ecosystem — shaped by movies that blew my mind over the years, from The Lawnmower Man to Ready Player One. But I know that trying to build the “metaverse” first would be a mistake. So I started with the underlying framework instead: a cross-platform ecosystem where different digital experiences actually work together, from any device, rather than living in isolated apps.
Right now, it consists of two connected clients:
NEX.O (Mobile/Web): Features a live context-aware AI assistant (Alice), multilingual translation, AI music generation, prediction tools, and a dynamic social system with lots of “hidden” gems. Both Android apps are already live in the Play Store, and iOS is coming soon (which is a two-month nightmare already ☹).
NEX.space (Mobile/Desktop/VR): An Unreal Engine multiplayer 3D environment packed with work-in-progress ideas.
I'm not saying the finished vision already exists. It doesn't. I still have bugs to fix everywhere. The 3D world is still early, and the framework underneath is what I've been trying to get stable first.
My background is a weird mix of software development, 3D architecture/design, and film writing and directing.
Recently, a VC offered to fund the project, but their main condition was pivoting to a Web3/crypto token model. I said no. I lost money on crypto before, I hate the speculative side of it, and I want to build a real platform with actual utility.
Now I’m getting ready to make NEX public, and I need some objective eyes.
I want to combat "subscription fatigue" by offering one small sub for the whole ecosystem, rather than people paying for AI, music, and other stuff separately. Then yeah...metaverse. Does this make sense?

Although I’m more analytical than you and feel comfortable in the token markets, your project really impressed me. I think you’re taking something very ambitious and guiding it in the right direction. I’m not usually into this kind of thing, but I can clearly see the level of your work — and from my point of view, it’s spectacular.
It’s great that you stay true to your principles. Never drift away from them; it makes life much easier. I say this as someone who has always stayed true to himself, and that has made me happy — at least as happy as one can be in this complicated world.

Thank you so much. Any sincere appreciation like yours really means a lot to me.
I know that tokenization can be a efficient model, but passing it through the filter of my own experience, I was very cautious about NEX's future in the crypto world. The potential lack of final control after the actual transaction was just not something I was comfortable with. Maybe it could have been negotiated, but I preferred to do things my own way, exactly as I feel them. That is how I felt then, and it is exactly how I feel now.
Regarding the app—and I say this hand on heart to everyone—it might seem complicated at first glance, but it really isn't. I believe we actually need something to put our minds to work, to keep us active. We don't need just another banal interface for sending a quick message or endless, mindless scrolling.
We need some "color" in our lives and a way to hold onto the control that we are slowly starting to lose. That is exactly what NEX aims to be.

NON "Crypto money" definitely has its challenges :))) , but I lost money on crypto and is something that NEX will never help with ....
I would love to hear your honest feedback on how the app actually feels to use right now. I am especially curious about the Android version—since NEX was built natively for iOS (which is still pending approval)—or how you find the desktop version at this stage.
We are gearing up for the "official" launch in about 2-3 weeks, so any raw input you or anybody else for that matter, would be incredibly valuable.

First, thanks for taking a look. Second, it really started from simple user frustration: app fragmentation, data harvesting, and subscription fatigue.
Right now, most of us juggle 7–8 different apps—WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc. Not only are our data and feeds monetized anyway, but we end up paying $30–$40+ a month across subscriptions just for occasional, scattered use.
The core hook to enter NEX is having an all-in-one daily utility hub where you aren't paying multiple bloated subscriptions or constantly trading away your privacy—you use what you need at a fraction of the cost. From there, the bridge into 3D, gaming, and VR isn't just an add-on; it's the natural next layer of the same identity and data.
Every platform starts somewhere—people often forget how barebones the very first versions of Facebook or TikTok were. The foundation is unifying the daily toolset first.
That gives the ecosystem a clearer starting point. I’d be curious what users end up coming to NEX for most naturally.
