Most people learning French don’t struggle with grammar.
They struggle with words that look familiar… but mean something completely different.
These are called false friends.
And they cause real-life mistakes.
Like thinking “actuellement” means “actually”.
Or “library” → “librairie”.
I built a small browser game to focus only on that problem:
No account.
No levels.
No streaks.
Just a continuous run:
random words
3 chances
game over when you fail
The goal is simple:
force you to recognize traps instantly, not memorize lists.
I’m French, and I kept seeing the same mistakes over and over from English speakers.
Not because they don’t study.
Because most tools don’t train this specific skill.
So I built something focused, fast, and a bit brutal.
Does a very narrow learning game work better than general apps?
Can “no account + instant play” increase engagement?
Does difficulty + tension (3 chances) improve retention?
Is the concept clear in the first 10 seconds?
Is it too hard / frustrating?
Would you actually replay it?
