How I validated and built my first micro-SaaS in one week with zero coding — here's exactly what I did

A few weeks ago I was frustrated with my own team's timezone chaos. Every call with our India, UK and US members turned into a 10 minute "wait what time is it for you?" conversation.

So before building anything I did something most first time founders skip — I validated the pain publicly on Reddit.

I posted in r/remotework asking how remote teams handle timezone scheduling. The responses were honest and brutal:

"You don't. Some part of your team needs to join outside standard hours."

"Cooperation across time zones is hell."

"The worst is losing a full day just waiting for one simple answer to unblock your work."

That last one hit me hard. This wasn't just a scheduling problem — it was a productivity and fairness problem.

What I noticed from the comments:

People mentioned Calendly feels too heavy just to find a simple overlap. Two tools came up organically — Worldtimebuddy and SyncUp.spot. Nobody said they'd pay for a new tool but everyone felt the pain deeply.

What I built:

A free single page tool called TimeSync. No login, no calendar integration, no setup. Add your teammates and timezones, click one button, instantly see when everyone overlaps with a visual timeline and top 3 overlap windows.

Built it entirely using Bolt.new with zero coding experience. Deployed on Vercel for free.

What I learned in one week:

Validate before you build — always. Reddit is a goldmine for honest unfiltered pain. AI tools like Bolt make building accessible to anyone. Shipping something imperfect beats planning something perfect. Your real story is your best marketing.

Current status:

Live product, zero revenue, building in public. Next step is getting first 50 real users and talking to every single one of them.

Would love feedback from this community — what would you do differently at this stage?
