Built a freelancing app to hire in under 60 seconds β€” looking for feedback on growth

Hey everyone, πŸ‘‹

I’m Dinaagaren, a solo founder.

I recently built GiniGigs, a mobile-first freelancing app designed to make hiring fast and simple.

What it does:

  • Hire freelancers in ~60 seconds
  • No proposals β€” just chat β†’ hire β†’ pay
  • Pre-vetted international freelancers
  • Built for quick, real-time hiring

Current traction:

  • 10,000+ app downloads
  • 60 freelancers onboarded
  • 4.8β˜… app rating
  • Zero marketing spend so far

Tech stack: Flutter, Node.js, MongoDB

Challenge:
I now have freelancers on the platform, but growing the client side (people posting jobs) is the hard part.

I’d really appreciate feedback from founders or builders here:
What would you focus on next to attract more clients?

Thanks for sharing this. I’m also learning how sales partnerships and appointment setting work for software/AI services, so this was helpful.

for marketplaces like this, client growth usually gets easier once you focus on a specific situation instead of anyone hiring freelancers. for example, teams already using similar platforms or struggling with quick-turnaround work tend to convert faster. narrowing to one segment first often creates better liquidity than trying to attract broad demand from day one.

The research step is what separates the 1-2% reply rates from 10%+. Most people treat it as a manual-per-prospect task, which means it gets skipped or half-done.

The pattern that works: systematize the information gathering (what does this company actually sell, what signals are happening for them right now) and use that to generate the hook. The email writing part is the easy step β€” it's getting the context fast enough to make each email worth writing that's the actual bottleneck.

Cold outreach scales linearly - same effort per reply every week. It's necessary for early traction but the founders who get to $10k+ MRR almost always layer in a compounding channel underneath it. SEO, community, partnerships, or product-led growth.

What's the channel you're betting on to build independently of your outreach?

The research step before any outreach is where most of the leverage is. A tight ICP with deep context on each target outperforms broad lists with generic copy. The channel rarely fails - the targeting does.
