school and college work piling up, brain spiraling, nothing getting done.
So I built Unjam: a tool that doesn’t give answers, but helps you pause, break tasks into small steps, and focus on just one next action at a time.
Early users are already telling me:
“10 minutes with Unjam and I knew exactly what to do first. I actually started instead of freezing.”
It’s simple, human, and built for people who struggle to get started when stress hits.

I’d love to hear from makers, students, or anyone who gets stuck in their own head — how do you currently deal with overwhelm?
Love the problem-first thinking here — "not giving answers, just helping you get unstuck" is a much better framing than another productivity app.
The one thing I'd be curious about: once someone gets unjammed, do they come back? That "frozen → clarity" moment is super high value but might only happen a few times a month. How are you thinking about retention?
Thanks, I really appreciate that! 🙏 You’re spot on — the “frozen → clarity” moment is exactly the sweet spot.
Retention is tricky, because as you said, people don’t always need to use it daily. The approach we’re experimenting with is a mix of:
• making the clarity moment repeatable for different contexts (so it’s not just exams or work, but any stuck moment)
• offering small nudges or prompts that remind users when they seem stuck again, without being spammy
• progress tracking — seeing past “unjammed” moments can reinforce the habit of using it whenever you feel frozen
Basically, the goal is that people don’t need it constantly, but when they do need it, they reach for it immediately, and the experience is so helpful they naturally come back.
Would love your thoughts on what makes you revisit a productivity tool you like — I feel like that insight is gold for retention.
