Anonymous, voice-first platform for creators too camera-shy to start (looking for early feedback)
Hey IH — first post here after lurking and commenting for a while.
I'm building Reveal, a creator platform for people who want to build
an audience but freeze up at the idea of showing their face.
The idea: start completely anonymous with just your voice. Build a
following. If (and only if) you want to, "reveal" your face once
you've built enough of a following that it feels safe — it's your
choice, not a requirement. Think of it as the bridge between podcasting
and YouTube.
Why this matters to me: I kept meeting people with genuinely good
content ideas who never started because "showing my face" felt like
the real barrier — not the content itself.

I'd love brutally honest feedback:
- Does "voice-first, face-optional" actually solve a real problem for you,
or is this a solution looking for a problem? - Would YOU personally use something like this, or know someone who would?
Not selling anything — genuinely trying to figure out if this is worth
building further before I go deeper.
The insight that the blocker is "showing my face," not the content, rings true — but I'd push on whether anonymity or the format is the actual unlock. Podcasts and faceless voiceover channels already let people publish without a camera, so the question your waitlist can't answer is why someone would post here instead of just recording audio elsewhere. One cheap test before you build deeper: ask the first 20 signups to send you a 60-second voice note as their "application," and see how many actually record. Drop-off there tells you far more than an email count, and the ones who do record become your first content.
