A free toolbox for the everyday chaos of running a family
I’ve been working on a side project called FamilyInc — basically a collection of free, simple tools for the everyday logistics of running a family.
It has tools for things like:
- chores and household tasks
- kids’ routines
- packing and travel
- school and activities
- cleaning and home management
- planning, checklists, schedules, and other family admin
The idea was to make each tool quick to use, with no account required, and many of them can be printed or copied.
As a stay-at-home dad, I feel like a surprisingly large part of the job is just keeping track of 100 small things at once, so I built the kind of site I’d actually want to use.

Running a family can feel like managing a dozen things at once, so having a simple free toolbox can be really useful. Tools for shared calendars, shopping lists, meal planning, budgeting, reminders, and household tasks can make everyday responsibilities easier to organize. The best tools are usually the ones that are simple enough for everyone in the family to use and help keep important information in one place. Even small improvements in organization can save time and reduce daily stress.
The individual tools make sense, but I’m curious whether people come back to FamilyInc itself or mostly use one tool for a specific task and leave. Have you seen any repeat usage pattern yet?
